Hospitals in England need around 5,000 blood donations every day. New donors help keep that supply available for patients who need it. Donors of Black heritage are particularly needed to help provide closely matched blood for people with sickle cell disease.
The team can help you find out whether you may be eligible to donate and register you on the day. Curious about your blood type? They can also offer a quick finger-prick test to give you an indication.
