What to wear this autumn/winter?

Autumn is officially upon us, and while many of us are mourning the end of our glorious Indian summer, now is the time to pack away the floral maxi dresses, mini-skirts and sandals, in favour of woolly jumpers, cosy coats and head warming hats.

Read our overview of the latest trends to hit the high street this autumn/winter.

Animal Print…

While we’re not sure it ever truly went out of fashion, animal print is set to make a big comeback this season. From leopard and cheetah to snake and croc print, expect to see animal print everywhere this winter. Bags, coats, dresses, jumpers and even boots will see the resurgence of this fashion staple.

70 shades of Brown…

Well ‘70s’ shades of brown if we’re being specific!

Chocolate, beige, biscuit, tan, coffee, chestnut – you name it, brown is the new black this season but only if it has a 70s twist.

The mini-dress…

The 60s classic is back, but this time it’s here to party! Just in time for Christmas, the mini-dress (and we mean mini if the catwalk is anything to go by) is back in fashion along with a few friends from the 80s – satin, silk, velvet, crystals, brocade and sequins. Expect to see the teeniest frocks with the biggest personalities this winter.

Crystals, crystals and more crystals…

Crystals will be adorned on EVERYTHING this winter – hats, shoes, bags and even trainers, we’re all set to sparkle like disco balls.

Layer up…

The key to keeping warm has always been layering, so it’s great to see it as a proper trend this winter. Expect to see mannequins layered from head to toe in jumpers, cardigans, coats and even puffer jackets!

Flower power…

The summer may be over, but floral patterns are definitely not. Designers are amping them up for winter with bright florals rendered on black backgrounds – dramatic, moody and certainly eye-catching!

‘Head’ out in style…

Whether it’s all about drama, a move towards the modest or just being plain toasty warm – covering your head is winter’s biggest accessory message. From balaclava to beret and everything in-between, hats are a must-have this season.

Whatever fashion trend you’re into, you can be sure to find what you’re looking for at The Springs, Thorpe Park this winter.
