Gino D’Acampo to open My Restaurant at The Springs
Gino D’Acampo, the UK’s favourite Italian chef, has announced he is to open a new restaurant at the rebranded Thorpe Park development, The Springs, Leeds.
The 150 seater restaurant will include a coffee & deli bar where guests can eat in or take away from breakfast onwards, a prosecco bar and alfresco terrace complete with games room.
It will be Gino’s fourth establishment in Yorkshire and third in partnership with leading UK fashion retailer Next, and follows the success of My Restaurant Leeds city centre, Harrogate and Hull, where he opened his latest restaurant with the retail giant in December 2017.
Work is already underway on the £1.2m development and will open in October.
Speaking recently at The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival, where he made an appearance alongside fellow chef, James Martin, Gino said: “I’m pleased to confirm I’m expanding my presence in Yorkshire with a fourth restaurant at The Springs, Leeds.
“It’s a truly impressive development combining great stores, restaurants and leisure facilities; I’m looking forward to being at the heart of it and opening my fourth restaurant in this wonderful county.”

The announcement follows news Gino is to launch a new fast-casual dining concept – My Coffee & Deli Bar, on the lower ground floor of his Pizza & Prosecco Bar in Manchester next month (September 2018).
Similar to the coffee shops found in Gino’s hometown, My Coffee & Deli Bar will transport visitors to Naples, serving real Neapolitan coffee and Italian food, available to eat in or take away.
Gino first made his move into restaurants when he teamed up with friend & business partner Steven Walker, founder of Manchester based restaurant group Individual Restaurants, the company behind favourites including Piccolino and The Restaurant Bar & Grill.
Despite the current issues facing the sector Gino plans to open further restaurants in 2018 and has a strong pipeline in place for 2019.
